Virtual RC Racing Press Release [09-11-2004 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
Virtual RC Racing is the new radio controlled car racing simulator from Virtual Racing Industries. Created by a team of international game developers, including Tony West of West Racing, this PC based sim is set to take the sport of r/c car racing by storm. Aimed at current r/c racers, Virtual RC Racing is also set to appeal to newcomers as it offers the perfect training tool for this high speed technical sport.
Every aspect of r/c racing has been precisely modelled to give players a life like racing experience. Graphics, sound, control and game play are so realistic r/c racers can use Virtual RC Racing to prepare for the real thing. Featuring a sophisticated vehicle dynamics engine, which gives true to life car handling, users can experiment with set-up and test the results on the world’s top r/c tracks including the circuit used for the 2004 World Championships in Brazil. This level of realism helps develop the user’s understanding of the effects of set-up changes on a real r/c track.
Available from the simulators official web site virtualrc.com, users download for FREE the full version game software and moments later they have all the excitement of r/c racing on their PC.
While Virtual RC Racing can be played using regular game controllers, Virtual Racing Industries have developed a VRC-USB adapter for the ultimate game play experience. This allows users to control the 3D sim using an actual r/c transmitter. The only thing missing is the smell of the nitro fuel! With all of the sport’s major manufacturers represented in the sim, a big feature of Virtual RC Racing is the option for r/c racers to select the very same car, engine, tyre, fuel and radio combination as they use in real r/c competition. This combination can be used to challenge fellow racers and gamers from around the world for the ultimate prize of becoming the 2005 Virtual R/C Racing World Champion.
Free Daily Challenges offer racers the opportunity to practice for major online events for which players require a Virtual RC Racing License. These start at just US$22.00 and allow players gain a World Ranking. Other exciting add-ons for the sim include additional tracks, which replicate some of the best r/c circuits in the world, and these are available for only US$6.00 each. Although a specialist simulator, the creators of Virtual RC Racing expect a large numbers of gamers to go head to head with experienced r/c racers in the online competitions - ‘Racers Start your PCs’.
